February 17, 2015 Arlette Burgaud and I made an appointment to meet with Bruno Legeron in his workshop. Arlette called a taxi and we drove off... Here is the cherished door with a golden plate to the floral kingdom of the third generation of the famous house Legeron.
Inside the workshop everything was completely ordinary, not as on the magazine covers of high fashion. Silk flowers were everywhere - on the walls, on the tables, drawers, shelves, cabinets ...
Bruno was busy cutting flowers from an entirely inappropriate (in my opinion) materials - something like a plastic table cloth. I wondered how he would make flowers from this material?
I walked into the next room, three ladies were creating silk flowers for famous fashion houses Dior, Channel, Givenchy. Micheline Mauger - one of three designers working in the studio Legeron for 40 years!
I liked the friendly atmosphere there, ladies were very nice, they patiently and thoroughly answered my questions)) At this point, Bruno finished his work and we continued our interview in the room where he paints the flower petals. I found all the information extremely interesting. Bruno explained and showed the whole process of making silk flowers! It was sooo interesting that we have completely forgotten about the time! :)
He showed pictures of his grandfather who started this business, his father and mother, who initiated him into the beautiful world of silk flowers.
Bruno Legeron was so welcoming, friendly, smiling and endlessly enthusiastic about his work that I did not want to leave ..., for a while I completely lost all connections with reality outside his atelie. I had the impression that we come to see him in a time machine:)))))). Maybe because his workshop looked exactly the same as at least 50 years ago! ... Bruno finished his story, then there was silence and I realized that it is time to go home.
Immensely happy for the opportunity to know this talented flower artist and extremely nice man - Bruno Legeron.
