My first attempt at a silk flower was a soft, wire-free version. I used my children's coloring set to dye it and I stitched the petals together. However, attaching it to my dress proved to be a challenge, and the end result was far from what I had envisioned.
Since then, I have spent countless hours learning how to mix dyes, create different flower parts, shape with flower making tools, and assemble. Along the way, I made many mistakes and faced frustration, but with the guidance of my first teacher and my unwavering passion for this art form, I was able to overcome each obstacle.
Today, I'm excited to announce my new upcoming one-to-one online training for beginners in silk flower art, which is starting on March 12th, 2024
Over the course of four weeks, I'll be your personal teacher, guiding you through every step of the journey.
I'll tailor a teaching plan specifically for you, ensuring that you receive the guidance and support you need to succeed. From the basics to more advanced techniques, I'll be there to help you every step of the way.
